I am 28 y/o female who has suffered from spontaneous facial blushing as well  as hand and feet sweating since I was a teenager. My situation was so unbearable that I could no longer work in my profession. The embarrassment was too much to handle. I could not shake hands or meet new people because I would get red blotches that brought even more attention to myself.

My surgery took place on 11-19-99 and was preformed by Dr.Ott. I could not be more happy with the results from my surgery. The surgery has changed my life.

Since the surgery, I have now returned to work. I can now meet new people and experience life as it was meant to be experienced. I can shake hands with people and not be humiliated when they wipe their hands after our brief encounter. Dr. Ott as well as his assistant are two of the nicest people you can experience in the medical field. They were always courteous, professional, kind and most of all compassionate. They very much understand that when you suffer for hyperhydrosis your physical appearance is not only affected , you suffer mentally as well. I was on Paxil and Prozac prior to the surgery. Since my surgery I no longer have to take antidepressants because my condition is gone and my mental well being has returned. My stay at the hospital was most enjoyable due to the staff. The staff was incredible. They made sure you were taken care of and answered any questions I had. The staff had only positive things to say about Dr. Ott as well as other co-workers. I was comforted by one nurses comment " Dr. Ott is one of the best surgeons." You don't see that enough now days. Having the surgery with Dr. Ott has been one of the best decisions of my life. My quality of life has only improved since the surgery! Dr. Ott, I can't thank you enough for performing the surgery. I cannot express it enough what a change this has made in my life.
