Gunjan Goel, MD
Dr. Goel completed her undergraduate work at University of California, Berkeley in psychology. After completing medical school at Wayne State University, she completed her internship and residency at University of California, San Diego.
Dr. Goel completed a skull base fellowship at the Weill Cornell School of Medicine, further specializing in the management of complex intracranial tumors such as pituitary tumors, meningiomas, and vestibular schwannomas.
Dr Goel also did an additional fellowship in advanced neurosurgical dissections and skull base microneurosurgery at Surgical Innovations Laboratory at Weill Cornell University Medical College.
Dr. Goel offers neurosurgical treatments for patients with benign and malignant brain tumors, facial pain and spasm, and spinal trauma and degenerative disorders. She has a particular interest in minimally invasive techniques, including percutaneous rhizotomy for trigeminal neuralgia, endoscopic transsphenoidal surgery for pituitary and sellar tumors, and stereotactic radiosurgery for brain tumors, vascular malformations, and trigeminal neuralgia.
Dr. Goel is board eligible with the American Board of Neurological Surgeons.
Dr. Goel sees patients in our Convoy Street Office and our Grossmont Office.
Dr. Goel has privileges at Sharp Memorial Hospital, Sharp Grossmont Hospital, Sharp Chula Vista Medical Center, Scripps Mercy Hospital and the San Diego Gamma Knife Center.
